Do You Need Regular Garbage/Recycling Pickup?


As of March 25, 2024, Jet Bins collects garbage and recycling for Lansdowne and all TLTI.

If you are a resident of Township of Leeds and the 1000 Islands, and you would like to schedule regular garbage and recycling pickup, fill out the form below and we will follow up as soon as possible.

Information and Schedules

Currently we collect garbage and recycling:

  • on Monday in the villages of Lansdowne, Seeley’s Bay and Lyndhurst. (Village Pickup).  Note: Depending on geography we may also pick up from residents who do not actually live within a village.
  • on Thursday in the area of the 1000 Islands Parkway, Hwy 2 east from Gananoque, Ivy Lea, Rockport and Mallorytown areas.

Rules & Regulations from TLTI

The text below is copied from the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands website.  You MUST adhere to these policies:

"Garbage and recycling for the village of Lansdowne must be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on Monday; Tuesday if Monday is a statutory holiday. 

It is the resident's responsibility to make sure that waste disposal meets the following requirements:

  • Items must be at the curb by 7 a.m. on pick up date.
  • All household waste must be in transparent bags (clear/blue) and tagged with a waste label.
  • Recyclable items must be sorted by:

1. Plastics/Metal/Aluminum/Glass in a transparent plastic bag (clear/blue)
2. Newspapers and Cardboard (tied or boxed) or in transparent bag (clear/blue)

Reminder: Limit household garbage bags to 40lbs or less."

NOTE:  Jet Bins also picks up throughout the TLTI region, not just in the village of Lansdowne.
